The Lord of the Rings Trilogy, directed by Peter Jackson, have arguably not been matched since they were made over 20 years ago. On my friend’s podcast, Viewpoints with Victor, myself (on the left), my friend Liam (an LOTR expert and musician), and the host Victor discuss the strengths and flaws of the second installment, The Two Towers.
The conversation flows nicely, and we discuss everything from the beautiful cinematography, the plight of Theoden and the scheming of Grima, whether Haldir and his Elves was a good or bad addition by Jackson, whether Treebeard and Merry and Pippin’s story is up to the level of the the rest of the film, and the heroic final battle of Helm’s Deep.
Unfortunately halfway through the audio degrades, but it still easily listenable.
It was pleasure to discuss my favourite trilogy with two good friends in the land the films were shot, New Zealand.
Thank you all for reading (well, watching and listening).

So many people focused on LOTR. I read The Hobbit and the trilogy in my early teens. Decades later, I'm rather tired of hearing about it. Maybe it's from writing my own stuff. I did enjoy the movies at the time but no longer care for such things. We continue in life, see new things, and add to the compendium of our knowledge. But I do find it interesting how others are seeing those books.
Nah, not yet. Research been getting in the way. Will get to it soon though.
